Chase Shuman at Marmalade Savannah
Last month in Savannah, we celebrated a collaboration that felt both deeply local and globally inspired. We partnered with Chase Shuman, a SCAD Fashion Design alum and Georgia native now based between New York and Paris, for a long weekend of fashion, art, and community.
The celebration unfolded across multiple touchpoints: an in-store trunk show at Marmalade, an intimate launch party at Chase’s historic Savannah home in collaboration with Cleo the Project Space, and a special editorial photoshoot styled with pieces from Marmalade to bring the collaboration to life ahead of the event.
The Editorial
Ahead of the weekend, Chase collaborated with Marmalade’s own Evan Skovronsky (SCAD advertising 26') and Anna Jara (SCAD fasm 26') to style and photograph an editorial that paired Chase’s designs with pieces from Marmalade. Shot in Savannah at the site of a future SCAD alumni owned business, the images capture the collision of heritage and modernity that defined the event itself- classic yet forward-looking, rooted in Georgia but expansive in vision.
The Launch Party
For one evening, Chase’s historic home was transformed into a dreamy, ephemeral gallery with the help of Cleo the Project Space and Sake Ono. The rooms came alive with works from Anna Ottum's Dress Rehearsal* , displayed throughout the house like hidden treasures waiting to be found.
Chase’s own designs appeared as suspended sculptures, ghostly and ethereal, floating from the ceiling against floral installations that mirrored the textures and tones of his garments. Guests moved through candlelit rooms as if walking inside a living exhibition.

To complete the experience, cocktails were crafted by Sake Ono, and an elegant grazing table curated by Chase himself was laid out with the same precision and artistry he brings to his collections.
The evening welcomed a vibrant mix of Savannah’s creative set, blending conversation, style, and shared inspiration in a way that felt distinctly of this place, yet globally resonant.

The Trunk Show & Pop-Up
The weekend continued with an in-store pop-up at Marmalade Savannah, where guests could experience Chase’s work more intimately and take pieces home. A special window installation featuring his designs extended the collaboration into the street, drawing passersby into the world we had built together.
